Community Amenities & Features

Personal Amenities and Services

This is where The Springs proves “it’s not your grandparents’ retirement community.”
Rather than a service or program package, personal lifestyle amenities or personal needs are met through a personalized, customized approach. Working with our Service Specialist, and with the full array of services and technology available through Wellspring Lutheran Services, your wants and needs can be happily met just as you wish.
That’s aging on purpose ... with purpose!

On-site Community Manager

The Springs will be the only active adult community of its kind in the area, and will be professionally managed by our Community Manager, a member of the Wellspring team with the full backing of its supports and professional development. This will assure members of The Springs community will experience more than just a “property manager.”

The Clubhouse

The Springs Clubhouse will be the center of life and energy for the community and its members. It includes an office for the Service Specialist, too, as well as regular opportunities for personal growth, fellowship, wellness and any other activities desired by the members of the community. The Clubhouse will feature a nearly 1,000-square-foot Great Room, allowing for community gatherings, as well as large family gatherings. Reserving the Clubhouse is available to any member of The Springs without charge. Setup and cleaning fees may be charged.

The Clubhouse will also feature an outdoor patio and grilling area for those beautiful Michigan summer evenings, a large serving kitchen for catering or potlucks, a lounge for small groups – think Bible studies – and other smaller gatherings, and ample storage.

Generous space has also been allocated in the Clubhouse for exercise equipment to promote that healthy lifestyle and proactive aging.

Sidewalk and Walking Paths

The Springs will be a great place to get those daily steps in, too. A sidewalk will run the entire length of the outer perimeter of the property, following along Tuscola Road. When complete, this sidewalk will extend all the way to the Rose Garden area of Memorial Park and all it has to offer.

In addition, a walking path will connect from the northwest corner of The Springs to the high school baseball/softball diamonds, and tennis courts. From there, it’s a short walk to the Palmer Schau Platz
